Michelle Long Joins Project Management Team
Michelle Long

As our Project Management team continues to expand, we want to extend a warm welcome to Michelle Long. She will serve as Program Manager for Johnson’s Facility Assessment Program in Birmingham and will oversee both new developments and overall management of the service line.

“We are grateful to have Michelle’s leadership, organization, and strong project management background to handle such detailed, complicated projects,” said Gary Wilkinson, Senior Vice President of Project Management.

The company’s Facility Assessment Program gained momentum in 2020, taking on work across the country, as well as internationally. It wasn’t long before the company saw the need to further develop the service and expand its staff to accommodate the workload.

“Michelle’s background and experience put her in a unique position to lead our team in this growing service line,” Wilkinson added.

Previously, Long served as Vice President and Environmental Program Manager at Regions Bank, where she developed, implemented, trained, and managed all aspects of a flagship environmental program. Prior to Regions, she worked as the Environmental Program Manager for the Regions Bank account at CBRE, where she originally developed and created the vision of the overall environmental program for Regions.

In addition to her work at Regions and CBRE, Long also served as a Project Coordinator for Hoar Construction’s Program Management team, where she oversaw the Regions Bank account and managed new-build, preconstruction due diligence and assessments.

“I love working with teams to analyze all facets of their systems, so we can collaborate, streamline and strengthen processes, identify the structures we need to set in place, and get things up and running,” Long said. “This role really was perfect for me, and I’m excited about the additional layer of success this program is bringing to Johnson.”

And she has no plans to stop at just getting things running smoothly. “My ultimate dream would be to transform high-level assessments into an expansive program to better serve our clients’ capital planning and project management needs. The opportunities are out there, we’re working hard to achieve excellence, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
