In May, our Project Management team celebrated substantial construction completion of the new UAB Medical West Hospital in Bessemer, Alabama. The new facility includes a 412,000 SF, 9-story hospital with 200 beds and a 127,000 SF, 5-story medical office building. The full-service hospital features a new surgical and endoscopy suite, state-of-the-art imaging technology, and more intensive care beds. Our project management team, led by Gary Wilkinson, Jr, Heather Hall, Andrew Gilbert, and Carol Burnett, was responsible for program management including all activation and transition planning services. The hospital opened in August.
