In October, we completed work on UNM Hospital’s new Critical Care Tower—the largest hospital expansion in New Mexico’s history. Johnson’s Transition Planning team, led by Heather Hall and Michael Barksdale, guided planning and Go Live coordination for this 684,000 SF, 9-story facility, which includes 192 beds, 18 operating rooms, 73 PACU rooms, 6 interventional radiology suites, 4 catheterization labs, and an expanded adult emergency department with helipad access.
Heather and Michael worked closely with the UNM team over the past year to create plans and mock moves to safely relocate patients, staff, and equipment with minimal disruption, supporting UNM’s mission to provide advanced, life-saving care.
