What great weather we had this week for the groundbreaking ceremony at the VA Des Moines Clinic with LS Black Constructors, SciArt Studio, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
The 49,000 SF clinic is unique in that it utilizes the previous Toys ‘R Us building at Southridge Mall, which reduces costs and minimizes the environmental impact of additional development.
Originally delayed due to COVID restrictions, this milestone marks the beginning of renovations to the clinic’s parking lot. Once completed, the facility will provide primary care, women’s health, mental health, physical therapy, social work, pharmacy, and dietician services. General x-ray, laboratory, group therapy, telehealth, and tele-retinal services will also be available.
