South Central VA Wellness Center

The South Central VA Wellness Center is the newest healthcare addition to the Medical Center of the Americas medical district, providing veterans with state-of-the-art healthcare alongside Texas Tech University Medical Center and El Paso Children’s Hospital on a shared campus. This new clinic also specializes in mental health treatment. Johnson was selected to develop the clinic, overseeing the design and construction with the VA project team.

Johnson held multiple design meetings with the VA COTR and VA user groups representing all of the facility’s functional spaces, working closely with the VA project team during the design and construction phases of the project. Johnson also managed the Project’s completion during a disrupted global supply chain complicated by trade disputes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, Johnson manages and operates the facilities for the clinic.
