UAB Medical West Hospital and Medical Office Building
UAB Medical West Hospital is a USDA-funded, greenfield replacement hospital located in Bessemer, Alabama. This 9-story facility contains 200 licensed beds, 30-room emergency department with dedicated imaging rooms and mental health holding rooms, 12 operating rooms, 2 cath labs, central sterile department, women’s services, and a connected, 5-story medical office building.
Johnson provided oversight and day-to-day management of contracts, scope, schedule, and budget during both the design and construction phases. Johnson also provided FFE&T planning and procurement oversight, as well as move management and facility activation and readiness services.
