Wellstar Kennestone Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Wellstar Health System is one of Georgia’s largest and most integrated nonprofit health systems with more than 300 locations, including 11 hospitals and 25,000 team members. Wellstar also provides more than $1 billion annually in charity care and other community benefits, and operates the largest integrated trauma network in Georgia.

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, Wellstar Health System’s flagship hospital, responded to a community need for pediatric inpatient care in Cobb County located in North Atlanta. Johnson was selected to oversee the design and construction of the system’s first Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The project consisted of 8 net-new ICU beds, auxiliary spaces, child life play areas, and finish upgrades to the existing Pediatric Inpatient Unit.
